Resilence

Resilience is originally a term that defines the resistance of a body or material to shock or deformation used in physical sciences.

In a broader sense, and particularly regarding the human sciences, resilience can be considered as the capacity of a given system to overcome the changes caused by one or more disturbing elements and to recover its initial state and/or normal operations.

Using some old paintings I did years ago and painting again on them, I wanted to show how Art can be resilent as well, recovering its initial state after been deformed and modified. Trasforming it through the use of white color, the painting mantains its original Status of Art.
